Youth Ministry

Greetings to our Brothers and Sisters in Christ,
Fall is in the air! You know what that means…football season, marching bands, school spirit days, leaves start changing colors (well, not here, but somewhere north of the Georgia-Florida border) and lots of youth activities!
September 10 and 11 we will be taking the youth to Rock the Universe at Universal Studios, with a sleepover at the church on the 11th to make sure we all make it to Sunday School on time! We had such a great time last year and two of the young people that went with us made a decision to follow Christ! Rock on!!
“See You At The Pole” happens on September 22 this year. This is a time for Christian students to rally together and pray for their schools and classmates around the flagpoles of high schools all across the nation. Check out the website at www.syatp.com to see what it’s all about…and support our young people in prayer that morning.
October is a very busy month for our youth at school. Most are preparing for Homecoming activities and such. Looking a little further out, our annual Fall Camping trip is in November and December is the now infamous Youth Christmas Progressive Dinner. It’s not too soon to be planning for these activities. If you would like to be a part of these exciting events, you are more than welcome!
We had such an awesome summer camp this year and believe it or not, we are already working on next year’s mission trip. Our goal for 2011 is to serve in another country. Please keep us in your prayers!
Devote yourselves in prayer, being watchful and thankful. And pray for us, too, that God may open a door for our message, so that we may proclaim the mystery of Christ...Colossians 4:2-3 NIV
