The WMU, led by Kay Nix, provided a delicious Fall Brunch before beginning a special program on Saturday, October 11th. Jodi Bennett from the Florida Baptist Children's Home gave an informative talk on the new PorchLight program at the FBCH to give a safe haven for those underage children wishing to come away from trafficking. Currently they will begin their program October 20, 2014 and have 6 beds available.She provided detailed numbers on the situation in Florida. Food Pantry Please continue to bring canned goods and non-perishable foods for Thanksgiving and Christmas food boxes. Baskets will be available in the narthex and the CAC. If you know of a family needing assistance, please let the church office know or call Kay Nix, 632-0723.
The Bereavement Ministry Team is in need of help. If you are able to help prepare a dish and/or help with the meal please contact Linda Reid, 255-4738.
We now have a signup sheet available in the church office for placing fresh flowers on the altar for Sunday Services. This will add such a personal and fresh touch to our newly renovated sanctuary. This could be to honor someone, in memory of someone or perhaps for a special occasion. The flowers will be yours to take away immediately after the service.
