The Derby Street Chapel will be having a Rummage Sale on Friday and Saturday, July 25th and 26th in the C.A.C between the hours of 8:00 am and 2:00 pm. If you have items to donate to the or for more information please contact Ginger Tate at 321-690-4395.
Immediately after Sunday July 13th worship service the church was called to a special business meeting for the purpose of voting on the call of Dr. Ron W. Handlon as our new pastor. The vote was unanimous to have "Pastor Ron" be our spiritual leader. He will be moving his family in August and will be starting to preach at the beginning of September.
Dr. Ron Handlon, recommended by the Stewardship Ministry Team to be our Pastor, was here July 12th for a "meet and greet" at which time the church met him and his family. He also preached during our Sunday service. To see photos from this event please CLICK HERE
There will be no Wednesday Night activities beginning on July 2 through August 6. Activities will resume on August 13.
The kitchen clean Up is scheduled for August 12th,13th and 14th from 9:30 am - 1:00 pm each day. Everyone is invited to help, not just the kitchen committee. Please contact Mary Dedge if you are able to help.
Our annual Back Pack and school supplies giveaway will be Saturday, August 9, 2013 from 10:00 a.m. -12:00 p.m. in the Arnold Fellowship Hall. Students from K through 6 are welcome to attend and in fact must be in attendance to receive their supplies. Sponsored by Mission Development and W.M. U. this will be a "fun event" designed to provide assistance to our children as they prepare for school.
Please consider making a donation of school supplies, boxes will be available in the church and CAC for these donations or you may make a donation to the school supplies.
